Counselling and Psychotherapy occurs in a safe environment enabling the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist to gently unfold. The process from beginning to end occurs at the client's pace.
Counselling and Psychotherapy is best described as a confidential, genuine, non-judgmental, transparent and empathic service. Once a sense of trust is established, unresolved issues can be openly explored and given meaning.
Counselling and Psychotherapy facilitates a gradual increase in self- awareness. Increased self-awareness instils a greater understanding of how thinking patterns, emotional expressions and sensori-motor patterns of behaviour are intricately linked. Developing self-awareness in a safe environment opens up possibilities for inner change and to be able to view life events from many different angles.
